OBJECTIVE:
To obtain a position where I can maximize my two years of pharmacy technician experience in filling, compounding, and maintain Emergency kits that I have obtained while working at a closed door pharmacy.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
I graduated from an ASHP accredited pharmacy technician program in May 2018. I have a successful record of accomplishments: I transcribed Physicians orders, identified and researched the top 200 drugs for 2016, trained fellow students, I maintained an “A” average in my pharmacy technician classes, obtained strong communication skills in a workplace environment. I am proficient in pharmaceutical calculations, I translated prescription errors, identified terminology and symbols used in the pharmacy practice. I motivated fellow students to be successful, reconstituted medications, delegated responsibilities, demonstrated proper aseptic technique, researched drug information, calculated proper dose, day, supply, and amount to dispense, and solved complex compounding equations. Completed 240 hours of externship, 120 at Walgreens where I filled prescriptions and stocked shelves, and 120 hours at CVS where I worked at the walk-up and drive thru for customer pick ups, did return to stock, took in and input new prescriptions, and stocked the daily medication on the shelves.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
oI have two years of experience at a closed door pharmacy filling medication, compounding medication, and maintaining and filling Emergency kits for facilities and hospices.
oI was a lab assistant in the microbiology lab at Crafton Hills College. Here I would do compounding to make the microbiological stains and agars. I had to be trained and signed off after reading the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of the materials that were used in the lab.
oI was trained and proficient in the use of the Autoclave, which was used to kill all of the cultured testing media and sterilized the containers they were in.
oI provided assistance to students when they had trouble understanding a procedure, or how it was to be done in the microbiology laboratory, I would explain how the procedure was done and/or give an example. This would show to be helpful to students because it was from a peer or fellow student and didn’t have the pressure they feel around the instructor.
oI completed two years of respiratory therapy clinical experience at multiple different hospitals with adult, pediatric, and neonatal age groups, and in all areas of the hospitals.
