Shell Oil Co., Carson, California - Assisted in the oversight and construction of multiple Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) systems and injection wells at the former refinery with in the Shell Distribution plant in Carson, California and the Naval base on Coronado Island in San Diego, California.

U.S. Bank, Various Locations, Southern California – Staff Scientist for conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments on multiple sites in Southern California. Sites have ranged from vacant undeveloped land to industrial properties utilized since the late 1800’s. Prudential Overall Supply, Cerritos, California – Conducted groundwater monitoring and sampling and contaminate remediation in accordance with agency accepted guidelines. Prepared site safety plan, obtained permits, arranged inspections, collected samples, and transported samples to a state certified laboratory under proper chain-of-custody. Santa Catalina Island – Southern California – Project Geologist for delineation and remediation of a petroleum hydrocarbon plume. Although the site is located within a very restricted sedimentary basin, the sole water production wells for the island’s desalinization plant are located within this small basin. MTBE was detected in the water from the production wells during plant startup. The lateral extent of soil and groundwater has been defined by the installation of over 50 groundwater monitoring wells. The current phase of assessment includes ocean pore-water sampling and ocean water sampling to determine if groundwater migration to the Pacific Ocean is impacting aquatic life.

Confidential Client, Westlake Village (NPDES) – Southern California – Staff Engineer responsible for the monitoring, sampling, reporting, and oversight of a groundwater treatment system located at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, CA. Over a year’s time, I had been maintaining/operating the Advance Oxidation treatment system in an effort to treat various ground water contaminants to meet all discharge requirements as outlined by the NPDES permit. As well as the monitoring, quarterly and annually reports are submitted to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board outlining the progress and results of my efforts. XRF-Soil Analysis, Various Locations – Conducted analyses of soil and other materials within various undisclosed locations of the U.S.A. in an effort to provide data for ongoing litigation support.

Southern California – Conducted and assisted in the installation and sampling of multiple sub slab and soil vapor probes throughout various sites within the city of Irvine. Installed, optimized, and maintained multiple SVE/DPE treatment systems, ranging from system design and installation, weekly monitoring, performance analysis and enhancement, and monthly sampling.
