Purchasing Manager. Copland Fabrics, Inc. February 2016 – December 2018

Manage all purchasing operations in woven textile manufacturing including weaving, dying, finishing, and distribution. This includes all cost management contract and supplier negotiations with 100+ vendors. Accomplishments in position include leading multiple packaging component cost reduction programs saving the facility $41,000 annually. Additional responsibilities include invoicing approvals, Safety Data Sheet management, calibration monitoring, and Tier II reporting. Assistant Plant Manager. Synergy Health PLC. February 2012 – November 2015

Assisted the General Manager in overall plant management of the sterile reprocessing of class II medical devices including instruments, linens, and disposable accessory packs. Primary responsibilities included direct management of all production areas. Provided operational direction to other plant activities including quality assurance, engineering, distribution, human resources, safety, and customer service. Direct reports included 140 hourly and 5 salaried employees. Utilized a systematic approach to continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma techniques. Responsible for data generation, interpretation and troubleshooting utilizing statistical process control methods. Served as a quality resource/coach in a shift based team environment with both salaried and hourly employees providing quality services to both the individual and the team requiring 24-hour coverage. This included facilitating continuous improvement efforts by providing data interpretation and expertise to various operational areas providing specialized analysis and inspections to monitor process quality. April 1995 – March 2006

Responsible for daily coordination of Quality Assurance Department at KMU in a color photographic paper environment. Facilitation of four technicians in testing, release, and reporting functions serving current process support as well as new product introduction. Required extensive use of statistical process control and inventory control. Accomplishments included improved product release flow project and automated warehouse temperature reduction program saving the company approximately $22,000 annually.
