EXPERIENCE

KATERRA CONSTRUCTION- 2019 – Present

DPI DIVISION General Manager, West Coast, Rocky Mountain and Southwest Region divisions of drywall, paint and insulation.

CIVIL DIVISION General Manager, Self-Perform Civil Division – Lead Western Region (Northern California, Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah & Texas) and partner with Pacific Northwest Regional Manager to oversee $750M self-perform civil work.

SUNDT CONSTRUCTION 2015 – 2019

RIO NUEVO/CITY OF TUCSON DEVELOPMENT $11M

Sundt Construction remediated and developed 2 existing Tucson landfills for the Rio Nuevo Tax incentive District. The area was divided Into 2 sections. The first area consisted of 8 acres of remediation and import. Our self-perform crews removed 110K cubic yards of Trash and imported 150K cubic yards of fill. While the remediation ongoing, our self-perform crews installed 1500 LF of 36” sewer pipe ad 5 manholes. A 2500 LF bypass line was installed so there wouldn’t be any disruption to the active sewer. This bypass had an 8.25 MGD capacity. This piece of property was then purchased by Caterpillar and their new Surface Mining & Technology Division Headquarters. The 2nd area consisted of approximately 200 acres of existing landfill. I managed the removal 225 K cubic yards of trash, 250K cubic yards of import & the removal and replacement of 50K in overburden fill. With incidentals, our crews moved over 600K cubic yards of material.

BANNER UNIVERSITY MEDICAL (Tucson, AZ) $260M/$12M

The SUNDT/DPR Joint Venture project included a 220-foot (11-story) hospital tower. Over a 2 plus year period, I managed $12 million in self performed civil work for this contract. Scope included complete re-route of sewer, storm drain, water, chiller lines & and gas. We installed a major electrical vault that would allow Banner to be independent from university power. All building pads, street paving & retention basin construction were covered under the same scope. Project Manager II

SAN TAN WATER TREATMENT FACILITY $56M/$6.2M

Waste Water Treatment Facility for the Town of Gilbert, Arizona. I supervised team and the self-performed civil work for this project. Oversight of subcontractor selection, subcontracts & purchase order execution. The scope consisted of pit excavation, soil nailing and backfill for 2 locations within the existing facility. This project was challenged more with regards to safety. Project Manager II

AK CHIN COMMUNITY PROJECTS $240M/$21M

Ak Chin Indian Community in Maricopa, Arizona, selected the Sundt/Yates construction team of choice for the $240 million renovation and expansion of the Harrah’s Ak Chin Casino Resort property. Work included, new hotel tower, new bingo/gaming parlor, remodel existing gaming parlor, parking structure, Ultra Star bridge connector, complete street & utility infrastructure upgrade, new Central

Utility Plant and reconstruction of State Route 347 entrances, exits & traffic signals. My role was to oversee the $21 million Civil Elements of the project which included sewer, storm drain system with 20 drywells, fire line system, gas and a $2 million-dollar electrical infrastructure upgrade. All building pad and road construction realignments were addressed under our scope. All work was self-performed. Our team was able to earn more than double (26%) our required margin on the projects. APS $152M/$15M

Sundt was part of AECOM’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction team that added selective catalytic systems to the existing plant. The plant is located outside of Farmington New Mexico in the 4 Corners area. Of the $152M, I managed a $15 million civil scope for that specific portion of the contract in the remote area of New Mexico. Project Manager II

BALFOUR BEATTY CONSTRUCTION 2012 – 2015

COBALT REHABILITATION HOSPITAL $15M

This traumatic brain injury rehabilitation hospital consists of a two-story, 55,000 SF, 40 bed facility constructed from structural steel & structural concrete. The building finishes consist of architectural metal, masonry and stucco. The facility supports patients who have been released from immediate acute care and then they engage in the routine of their rehabilitation. The hospital services include full service radiology room, multiple gyms, occupational, speech and physical therapy areas. The facility also provides support services and amenities of their immediate family members. The facility emphasizes and enhances care for the patients “NEW NORMAL”.

GILBERT SENIOR LIVING $15M

This two-story, 95,000 sf building consisting of structural steel, structural concrete, light gage framing and stucco finishes was constructed to the requirements for TYPE II-A. The facility has 134 individual suites that will be purchased by residents. The facility has an exclusive Memory Care wing that is dedicated to Alzheimer patients. Senior Project Superintendent

TONY NELSSEN EQUESTRIAN CENTER EXPANSION $50M

This 350,000 sf facility will be used to host the BARRETT-JACKSON Collectible Car Auction along with 70 equestrian events. This 285’ clear span facility is located at WESTWORLD in SCOTTSDALE, AZ. This facility is the largest air conditioned equestrian center in the U.S. The building was constructed with structural steel, masonry, metal panel siding with decorative structural concrete. There was an extensive civil package associated with the project. The $4M underground electrical, sewer, storm sewer, gas, asphalt and site concrete package was spread out over the 400-acre site. HAYDON BUILDING CORP 2010 – 2012

DIRECTORATE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES HQ & POLICE STATION $15M

This 2-story, 35,000 sf facility houses a dispatch area, fully contained detention area, cast-in-place Armory, Computer Training, state of the art fitness& locker rooms with administrative areas located on a 5.5 acre lot at the White Sands Missile Range, NM. Site included all new utility infrastructures with extensive offsite improvements. All DCID, DOD and JFAN construction parameters and specifications governed the construction. LEED Silver. US VETERANS ADMINISTRATION –Tucson Veterans Home $28M

This 8 acre, 5 building, +/-130,000 sf complex was designed to house 120 veterans of war. The facility incorporated enhanced energy conservation features such as high-efficiency HVAC, solar hot water, solar sun shading on windows and the use of 30% recycled material. This facility achieved LEED Silver. Project Superintendent 2011

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE – Predator BedDown FOC $5M

5 acres with 17,000 sf ground up INTEGRA CMU construction. The building is a Command Center for the Predator Drone airplane missions throughout the world. All DCID, DOD and JFAN construction parameters and specifications governed the construction of the SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). The SCIF will support 4 Ground Control Stations in which the actual missions take place. The building is pending LEED GOLD accreditation. Project Superintendent 2010-2011

SUNDT CONSTRUCTION 2003 – 2009

Project Engineer, Project & Field Superintendent, Project Manager & Construction Manager - Project experience includes airport runways, freeways, the Phoenix Light Rail, as well as ground-up vertical construction with extensive site work. All projects were completed early or on time and within budget, most exceeding the fee expected. Responsibilities included estimating, scheduling, preparation of construction and contract documents, subcontractor selection and management, management of labor, change order management, budget control, code compliance, safety training and adherence, monthly financial reporting and closeout.

Community Facilities Infrastructure, Ft. Bliss, Texas - $25M, 190-acre, 600,000 cyds Mass Excavation, Utility & PCCP Paving Infrastructure Project for USACE. Project Superintendent, 2009

Phoenix Light Rail-High Profile project included extensive collaboration with 5 separate General Contractors and officials from

3 adjoining cities for successful coordination of schedule to assure adjacent streets and businesses remained operational; as well as accommodating an archeological dig after discovery of ancient remains on the site. I served as Project Manager, Project Superintendent or Construction Manager on these projects, depending on need and magnitude of project.

Park & Ride Project, Tempe & Mesa AZ - $11M project construction two 10-acre parking facilities, each with Security Building. Project Manager 2008 – 2009

Phoenix Light Rail- Traction Electrification Project, Phoenix, AZ - $10M. Project constructing 15 buildings that house power for Light Rail trains along a 20-mile route. Project Superintendent & Construction Manager 2005 - 2009

Phoenix Light Rail- Signals & Communications Project, Phoenix AZ - $5M project consisting of six Signal Houses for the Light Rail, as well as a 5 floor Tenant Improvement for the Operation Control Center. Tenant Improvement completed while building was fully occupied and functional. Project Superintendent / Construction Manager 2005 – 2009

Phoenix Light Rail Line Section 4, Phoenix, AZ - $53M project involving construction of 5.4 miles of Light Rail guide-way, demolition, relocation of water & sewer lines, and roadway improvements from 26th & Washington Streets in Phoenix to First Street in Tempe. Field Superintendent, 2005

SR 202: Higley to Power, Phoenix, AZ - $22.8 million construction of urban freeway consisting of 3 concrete bridges, retaining and sound walls, concrete pavement, drainage system, water and sewer relocation, relocation of utilities, traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, lighting and traffic surveillance, a 3890 lf berm and other related work. Sky Harbor Intl Airport S2 Concourse - Terminal 4 Apron Development Phoenix, AZ & Sky Harbor Int'l Airport Taxiway D Phoenix, AZ - $3M & $1.6M civil projects including airfield apron earthwork, grading, aggregate base course, asphalt shoulder pavements, PCCP apron pavements, and drainage for the new S2 Concourse at Sky Harbor International Airport as well as removal and replacement of approximately 32,000 sq yd PCCP 18" and 19.5" Pavement on Taxiway D. HOWARD S. WRIGHT CONSTRUCTORS 1998 – 2003

Project Superintendent – Worked on a wide variety of projects including warehouses, air traffic control tower, office tenant improvement projects, retail buildings, a grandstand/suite addition at Phoenix International Raceway and the Skyspace at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Responsibilities included estimating, job startup, management of subcontractors and labor, code compliance and closeout.

Phoenix International Raceway, Avondale, AZ - $15M Grandstand Renovation and new Parking Lot. Renovation of 14 suites in the Bobby Allison Grandstand and additional site work with extensive underground work and new parking lot extending a mile from the track. Constructed three additional structures for ticketing and concessions. Project completed on a fast track schedule to accommodate a NASCAR race. Superintendent/Project Engineer, 2002
