Duties and Responsibilities:
o Provide technical advice and coordination in line with the project HSE Plan, Legislation and Standards in Qatar to workgroups as required/ directed;
o Demonstrate a high level of HSE awareness and Leadership; o Input into the preparation and maintenance of Risk Register at the project level which will from the basis of risk management on the project for the Safe Work Method Statements;
o Delivery of project HSE induction and other identified HSE training;
o Monitoring and reporting compliance with the project HSE Plan; o Assist with implementation and monitoring of project Emergency Rescue Plan;
o Conducting regular HSE Inspections and participating in HSE audits;
o Reporting as required, HSE incidents, including near miss events, injuries and other HSE issues;
o Assisting with investigating incidents, ensuring root cause/s are identified, and corrective actions address;
o Regularly attending Toolbox and other HSE meetings; o Actively promote hazard identification, reporting and eliminate or control;
o Has the authority to issue, closeout and sign PTW permits on behalf of Leighton Contracting Qatar;
o Shall ensure that copies of all issued permits are displayed at an appropriate locations;
o Shall ensure that the works is examined on completion of the works and the PTW is correctly closed;
o Shall ensure that a permit register is maintained; o Undertake regular inspections of all waste compounds; o Liaise with staff and contractors regarding any waste management issues;
