Extraction oil and Gas
DJBU
Mechanical Supervisor, 2017-2020
Mechanical Supervisor responsible for the all Rotating Equipment that is company owned, responsible for all contract
vendors including, selection, contracting, sizing, installation, Pre/Post PSSR of all 300+ compressors, on all Gas Lift,
Sales, LP and Flash VRU’s. Maintained close relationship while working with Facility Engineers to ensure a safe and
Compliant environment for process safety management practices. Scheduled all Air Compliance testing for Portable,
Quad JJJJ, and State Protocol CDPHE tests working with Air Emissions Personnel to keep 100% compliant regulations.
Maintained inventory of all mechanical equipment using numerous types of software, including Well View, Site View,
INFOR, also utilized Automation for call outs on all compressors to ensure a 96% runtime and surveillance of production
Related to facility runtime. Trained all Production personnel on facility operations with use of Mechanical Equipment.
Numerous safety courses given by Extraction monthly. Ensured LOE were within the annual budget.
Noble Energy
DJBU
Mechanical Superintendent, 2013-2017
Developed Rotating Equipment Department from ground to oversee all maintenance on all rotating equipment including Compressors (500+), Vehicle Fleet (600+), LACTS, Generators, Instrument Air Skids, and Pumping Unit/Engines (400+). While maintaining regulatory compliance maintained runtime of 95% mechanical availability on Gas-lift, Sales, LP VRU, and VRT-VRU’s. Maintained compliance on all company owned equipment according to CDPHE, NESHAP Sub-parts QUAD Z/J while utilizing CMMS to schedule and track records for auditing purposes. Supervised 3 Mechanical Foreman, 3 Assistant Mechanical Foreman, 3 Fleet mechanics and 3 Air Compliance Techs for to maintenance, test, inspect, report and repair. Numerous safety endorsements, H2S, CPR, and Leadership courses. Monitored all equipment to minimize LOE spend rates, captured all data for reporting purposes to ensure budget was in line with projected annual budgets.
Pioneer Natural Resources/Evergreen Resources
Rockies Asset Team
Technical Supervisor, 2004-2013
Monitor all Operations working with Operations Managers and Engineers in the Rockies asset to optimize Production. Developed extensive knowledge in SCADA, measurement, artificial lift, and compression facilities. Optimized all wellhead compression using Liquid Rings and Screw Compressors to ensure best practices in all areas in the Rockies. Increased production by 6 MMCFD over 4 years by installing 300 liquid rings and/or lateral screw compressors. Responsible for optimizing production by daily survelliance of 2200 wells using OFM, WellView, Evin, SCADA (customized office and compressor link). Train Pumpers and Engineers to assess any well or compressor issue by using the programs available to them to obtain maximum gas production. Developed a PCP to rod pump conversion program to reduce failures for downhole pumps, which resulted in over 2 million dollars saved and failures reduced from 1 in every 2 years to 1 in every 4+ years.
Evergreen Natural Resources
Sr. Production Foreman, Raton Basin 2001-2004
Oversee and assist all daily activities for 1200 wells, including managing where Workover and Completion rigs go to complete or work over new and older wells. Main responsibility was to optimize gas production while decreasing costs. Supervised 4 Production Foreman, 30 Pumpers, and 13 SCADA and Measurement Techs. Also, helped compression department to optimize operations in a safe manner while working with Operations Manager and Engineers. Monitored all costs of operations either LOE or Capital. Selected for a rotational position in Chester, England to oversee completion and operations for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) to help start up of a new field.
Evergreen Natural Resources
Measurement Tech 1999-2001
Started Measurement Tech Department. Converted 500+ to TotalFlow EFM’s so SCADA could be implemented field wide. Worked closely with consultant, engineers, production accounting, and operations groups to develop SCADA system that all departments could use for accurate production information. Installed, operated, maintained SCADA equipment, including EFM’s, radios, towers, PLC’s and sensors. Was responsible for developing a pump off controller that worked with a Progressive Cavity Pump to ensure optimum gas production from a CBM well. Supervised 6 Measurement and SCADA Techs.
Evergreen Natural Resources
Pumper 1998-1999
Responsible for pumping 45+ wells. Duties included monitoring daily water and gas production as well as ensuring that the gathering system was operating at optimum line pressures. Oversaw all water disposal facilities which included surface discharge under an NPDES permit, unlined pits and disposal into salt water disposal wells. Maintained optimum production by shooting fluid levels using an Echometer, ensured that all facilities met with EPA, State of Colorado and Industry standards.
United States Navy
Boatswains Mate 1993-1997
Various duties while on Ship, did overseas tour in Japan for 2 years and an 8 month cruise to the Persian and Arabian gulf.
Education
Raton High School in Raton, New Mexico in 1990-1993
Community College of Denver 2005 -2013 Associates in Science
