Education
● University of California, Santa Barbara - Mechanical Engineering
Expected Graduation - June 2020
GPA: 3.65
Design Experience
● Susko/Hawkes BabyBot Capstone Project - Mechanical Engineering Project Leader (Sept 2019-Present)
Currently working on building a machine to deliver high-volume physical therapy to babies affected by Cerebral Palsy
Directing a team of 4 other mechanical engineers, and working in conjunction with 5 more electrical engineers to refine the previous year’s design and make it more accessible for clinical testing
● Can Cooler - 2019
Designed a thermoelectric can cooler through the conduction peltier effect
Final product was able to cool a standard 12 oz. can from room temperature (23 C) to 10 C in 15 minutes
● Lectern Rack PC holder - 2018
Designed and 3D printed a small piece meant to give lectern technicians easy access to the PC embedded in every campus lectern while remaining tamperproof
Currently being installed on lecterns around campus
● Hydroponics System - 2015 - 2016
Worked as project leader of a team of 8 to design and build a self-sustaining hydroponic garden which produced vegetables.
Relevant Work Experience
● UCSB Hawkes Lab - Research Assistant (October 2019 - Present)
Helped design and build cellular soft robots with the ability to change material properties
● UCSB Instructional Development - Classroom technician (November 2017 - February 2020)
Build, design, and install lectern podiums and other related AV equipment into University learning spaces
Design solutions for classroom technology-related problems
● Segan Industries - Intern (June 2015 - September 2015)
Gained experience in injection moulding, and producing thermochromic plastics
Ran quality control tests of new products
