After years of being on the leading edge of technologies in the defense/aerospace industry I decided to spin that knowledge out into the medical arena. After developing surgical technologies that were the basis for several start-up companies’ success and later acquisitions, I ventured out and founded my own medical technology companies. Later, I moved to the other side of the table in venture capital. This career exposure has afforded me invaluable experience in defining or analyzing business models in a way which leads to investment and success in the marketplace. As with prior aerospace/defense patents, all medical device or method patents as a form of intellectual properties were assigned to the appropriate venture, company, and/or employer.

His regulatory submissions via the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have been for class I, II, and III devices (implants), and/or systems involving implants and instruments for surgical applications. He has submitted (or directed the submittal) of forty-seven successful (47) 510(k) applications for FDA clearance.
