AG’s SAP Production is 15+ TB systems running ERP, CRM, BW, Solman, Mobility etc. Currently most of American Greetings’ IT technology and architecture is based on custom application development using mainframe technologies. American Greetings has selected SAP as their ERP package and are migrating to it. As a Senior Basis Lead and technical architect I am involved in the implementation and support of the technical infrastructure and lead the Basis admin team.
Responsibilities as a SAP BASIS Lead:

SQL ANALYZER TOOL: This Utility scans COBOL-DB2 programs and analysis embedded SQL. It collects various statistics and then prescribes changes to the SQL based on guidelines. This is useful to improve performance, correctness, readability & maintainability of the SQL.
DFH$MOL REPORT FORMATTER TOOL: The program scans the output of the DFH$MOLS and generates a report, collecting necessary information and Formatting the output to be exported to excel sheet.
LOAD MODULE ANALYSER: The Load Analyser processes load modules and extracts information — such as Load module names, Language used, Compilers and release levels, Compiler signature. Used while decompilation of load modules to recover lost source code.
