Responsible for space utilization in all 3 warehouse departments dry, cooler and freezer totaling 750k square feet in 2 buildings.

Reeds Inc Los Angeles, Ca May 2015- July 2017

Director of Operations

Direct and lead all Production, Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics functions for Reeds Inc a leader in the Craft Soda Industry.

Redirected and rebuilt Reeds Logistics functions thru new carriers and negotiated rates that have created a cost reduction of 250k from prior year.

Created and introduced tracking measures for the production facility to create a baseline and determine line efficiencies as well as frontline productivity.

CIPS Marketing Group Los Angeles, Ca Oct 2014 – May 2015

Lead and direct functions within CIPS Marketing Group, National Leader in direct D2D deliver, focused primarily on Warehouse. Key Achievements:

Realized production line efficiency gains resulting in increased capacity and cost savings totaling 275k more pieces handled weekly and $12,500k labor savings weekly.

Restructured management team and labor force in Santa Barbara to reduce cost and increase efficiencies resulting in a bottom line gain of 20%.

West Pico Foods Los Angeles, Ca Feb 2013- Aug 2014

Operations Director (Contract)

Recruited as a contract employee to develop and manage strategies for delivering productivity and process improvement to West Pico Foods and their growth in the frozen food industry. DSD warehouses included both frozen and dry goods.

Key Achievements:

Implemented their first ever Safety Plan and program, wrote SOPs for Warehouse policy and procedure to begin the process of cost analysis and value creation.

Developed a labor plan that resulted in 182k in labor savings from year prior thru manpower utilization and overtime elimination.

Introduced tracking plans to monitor frontline employee productivity that resulted in a 23% increase in productivity from the onset of the tracking that will result in significant dollar savings.

Created a 4/10 driver delivery schedule that reduced overtime by 20% and provided cost savings for West Pico Foods of $80k from year prior in driver labor.

DR PEPPER SNAPPLE GROUP PLANO, TX JAN 2009 – AUG 2012

Operations Manager Los Angeles (2010 to 2012)

Due to my prior work performance, was brought back to the Los Angeles Market, to continue the growth of the largest facility in the West for DPSG and mentor our other facilities in Southern California and their Operations leaders in our continued growth within the beverage industry. Achieved major cost reductions and efficiency improvements while leading and coaching in a Union environment.

Key Achievements:

Implemented a 4/10 delivery schedule for drivers in Los Angeles resulting in a reduction of overtime from 24% to 12% in 2011 which produced a cost savings of $135mm

Lead the implementation of a Warehouse Optimization project in Los Angeles that resulted in 368k savings in labor expense and increased efficiency by 26% in 2010.

Lead the setup of 48-hour Cat 2 sales program in Los Angeles resulting in warehouse efficiency gains of 27 cases/hr., reduction in out of stocks by 18% and the elimination of late loads to the customer totaling savings of $167mm

Lead the retrieval of Transfer brands from CCE for the So Cal region in Jan 2011 adding to DPSG’s portfolio and increasing our marketplace footprint.

AFR was reduced from 6.2 to 1.3

Launched WMS, Warehouse Management System, to improve inventory and product rotation thru the use of handheld scanners.

Regional Operations Manager, Plano, TX (2009 to 2010)

Responsible for Sales Operations Standardization across the DPSG footprint, primarily in the Southwest Business Unit.

Helped implement and develop Warehouse University for all DPSG Operations teams across the country creating sustainable capability, standardized tracking, best practice usage and promoting best in class initiatives throughout the organization.

Responsible for new site setup, racking, dock prep and potential relocation of our facilities in various markets across the country.

Oversaw the installation and implementation of the TyGard layer picking technology in Irving, TX., DPSG largest facility. The technology resulted in added efficiency of 2100 cases/hr and the reduction of 7 labor heads in the warehouse pick crew.

Responsible for the Houston facilities warehouse optimization project, including TyGard implementation, that increased productivity by 22 %, cut overtime by 34% and saved 168k in warehouse labor expense in 2010.

Coca Cola Enterprises Los Angeles, Ca April 2005 – Dec 2008

Operations Manager, Los Angeles, CA (2005 to 2008)

Was promoted from Distribution Manager to Operations Manager to oversee the expansion of the Warehouse from 160k square foot to its current 310k square foot operation. The ability to manage a full production schedule and maintain capacity through expansion in a strong Union atmosphere while still delivering distribution results that were best in region.

Key Achievements:

Implemented a 4/10 delivery schedule for drivers in Los Angeles resulting in a reduction of overtime from 18 %to 7 % in 2007 which produced a cost savings of $116mm

Oversaw the implementation of Bulk delivery for all drivers in Los Angeles and eliminated the use of side loader technology that was antiquated. Result was a reduction in driver injuries and an increase of driver productivity by 307 cases per day.

Coca Cola Los Angeles Operations Facility was accident and injury free in 2007 and 2008

Directed the first ever cross dock operation in the CCE West Region with the LA/Ventura/Lancaster branches in 2007.
