Mr. Schuck has been responsible for performing electrical and mechanical design and construction management on assigned projects. He has provided project management of construction for compliance with technical documents, answers engineering and construction related questions, interpreted and clarified design documents, coordinated field changes, and forwarded revisions to the other engineering teams, while monitoring the work for compliance with project-specified quality control and quality assurance standards. Other responsibilities have included; coordination of the overall schedule with the contractors' work schedules in meeting completion dates or administration of construction project budgeting, cost control, accounting, and property accounts.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Mr. Schuck has 33 years of professional electrical and mechanical construction engineering and construction management experience. He has held a variety of management positions at industrial and commercial facility construction sites around the world while working with a major engineering and construction firm. His experience includes assignments at Project sites in the United States, Germany, Russia, Finland, Mid East, Europe and China. These assignments involved engineering and site management during the construction and retrofit of varied structures. His work experience includes oversight of engineering, procurement, construction contractors, and craft personnel as well as interface with local municipalities.

Senior Engineer II

Partner with key battery, inverter, enclosure/building suppliers to estimate component cost and performance for battery energy storage systems. Collaborate with battery suppliers and BESS integrator partners to build investor confidence in new technology. Specify controls capabilities of the BESS for integration with onsite PV and utility operations. Collaborate with solar PV design specialists to co-optimize design of storage facility with the solar PV component of the project.

Project management and Engineering for installation of 5 SDA dry scrubber units and install of new equipment with quality control. Oversee final engineering and management of the construction, start up and commissioning. Engineer proper design and specifications for rotating equipment in all areas. Oversaw design and construction of new substation work for upgrade

Mechanical field engineer and start-up engineer. Projects consisted of adding Siemens gas fired turbines and HRSG’s and new substation installs to 2 different petroleum manufacturing plants while still on- line. Oversaw from substation install to undergrounds on to start up and commissioning of plant and gas compression station.

Project Manager and Project Engineer

Project Management during employment with this specialty engineering and construction company, He supervised 110 full-time employees and 15 subcontractors performing commercial and industrial projects. He managed projects from conception to walk-through, including resolution of warranty issues. He ensured quality by employees and subcontractors were to code and contractual specifications, also interfaced with the local utilities and local municipalities during construction. He reduced cost by negotiating with vendors on materials utilizing just in time deliveries.

Oversaw design, construction, and engineering of plants through-out the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Served as a Project Manager from design to completion, including additions of AQCS on existing plants.

12 Coal Fired Power Plants

Oversaw design, construction, and engineering of plants through-out the US, China, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Served as a Project Manager from design to completion, including additions of AQCS on existing plants. Three (3) of the plants had fuel processing plants built from the ground up to synthesize coal or oil to burn as a second source of fuel.

Retrofit Nuclear Power Plants – France

Project Engineer for Retrofit - Responsible for design and monitoring as well as verifying various plants that were retrofitted to correct design flaws identified as part of a French nuclear industry improvement initiative. These retrofits involved new piping, pumps, and duct bank systems.

Retrofit Nuclear Power Plants – Peoples Republic of China

Responsible for monitoring and verifying various plants that were retrofitted to correct design flaws identified as part of a Chinese nuclear industry inspections performed and design changes as needed in piping, pumping and electrical duct bank water mitigation. An on-site civil redesign was undertaken to mitigate water run-off to sewers. This was done for 6 of the 11 plants.

Chernobyl Power Plant – Ukraine

Engineering Project Manager – Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the installation of the ground water sealing system was completed in accordance with the approved design.

Commercial Living Facility – Skokie, Illinois

Lead Engineering Superintendent – On this 22-story, 484,000 square foot cast in-place structure, was responsible for the supervision and coordination of the construction activities for the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical sub-contractors and local municipalities to ensure all aspects of the Project complied with code and company standards.

Medical Facility – South Dakota

Project Superintendent – On this 15,000 square foot structure, was responsible for the supervision and coordination of the construction activities for the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical sub-contractors, and interfaced with local municipalities to ensure all aspects of the Project complied with code and company standards.

Medical Facility – Ramstein, Germany [U.S. Government Project]

Project Manager – On this 200,000 square foot structure, was responsible for the supervision and coordination of the construction activities for the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical sub-contractors, and interfaced with local municipalities to ensure all aspects of the Project complied with local code and government standards.
