Resolves legal matters arising from lawsuits, foreclosures, and chargebacks.

United Technologies Corp. Suisun City, CA

Sr. Engineer/Scientist 11/08 – 11/15

Led 16 military platforms formulating energetic materials for propellant actuated devices, including developing the Thermal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), presently used in U.S. efforts to counter missile strikes from North Korea targeting South Korea.

Created a propellant thruster pressure cartridge in the NASA Ares II solid rocket booster nose cone separator motor.

Developed propellant-driven gas generators used to deploy evacuation slides for Airbus and Boeing (Tribrid) commercial jets and used presently by 22 airlines in 20 different countries.

Henkel AG and KGaA Pittsburg, CA

Formulation Chemist 11/06 – 11/08

Developed a strong adhesive paste for metal-to-metal bonding, sold as a Loctite product, allowing a longer pot-life for aircraft assembly.

Formulated an expandable, abradable seal used in small engine aircrafts, redirecting airflow, with strength up to 5000 psi, density of 0.5glcc, and having features that can resist burn, increase velocity and reduce fuel consumption.

Evaluated analytical data, such as material’s coefficient of thermal expansion for metal compatibility, degree of cure, tensile and compression strengths, and stress and strain tolerance limits.

UC Berkley Joint BioEnergy Institute Emeryville, CA

Chemist 8/05 – 3/06

Maintained and operated a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry core laboratory, opened to graduate students, professors, and staff and under the auspices of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Assisted graduate students and faculty in engineering microorganisms to produce biofuels and bioproducts.
