PROJECT DETAILS

-from the literature survey we have concluded that due to the excess temperature and stress in the FSW tool the welded joint gets poor in its mechanical properties and the tool life gets affected. We have used the HCHCR-D3 as the tool material that has the excellent abrasion/wear resistance and has good dimensional stability and high compression strength. We have introduced fins in the shoulder of FSW tool which helps to reduce the excess temperature so that it can produce good welding and the tool life also gets improved. TITLE: Analysis of Temperature and Stress distribution of Friction Stir Welding Tool.
