TECHNICAL PROJECTS
New Attribute Test Method Validation (ATMV), Boston Scientific, Summer 2019
Created a new visual test method validation for a production line, expanding the number of defects being looked for, and increasing batch yield in production.
Developed a sampling plan that aligns with internal statistical standards.
Collected and prepped samples that will be used during the ATMV.
Calculated labor and product savings of over $26,000 as a result of the ATMV.
Laser Weld Energy Operation Qualification/Process Qualification (OQPQ), Boston Scientific, Summer 2019
Wrote and executed an OQPQ to raise the upper limit of a welding laser from 286 mJ to 323 mJ as a resolution for repeat non-conformances on a product line resulting in over $20,000 in savings.
Conducted tensile testing on welded parts to validate the new laser energy.
Analyzed statistical data from the OQPQ results using Minitab.
3D Printed Metals/Alloys for Biomedical Applications, Vertical Interdisciplinary Projects, Spring 2019
Led a team of three students to test biomedical applications of 3D printed metals/alloys and compared them to their manufactured counterparts by testing cell/tissue growth and chemical properties using Ringer solution.
Augmented Reality Games for Stroke Rehabilitation, Explorations in STEM, Summer 2018
Spearheaded the research and development of augmented reality mobile games, under the guidance of Dr. Mei Lin Chan, to help make stroke rehabilitation exercises more engaging using the Unity Game Engine.
