Data Engineer/Datawarehouse Developer

Key responsibilities

Installation of Cloudera Hadoop 5.3.3, Cloudera Manager 5.4.0 and Linux Redhat operating system. Administration of the Hadoop cluster, adding and removing of various master and slave nodes and adding of various Hadoop core services including Hive, Pig, Zookeeper. Setup, configuration and integration of Kerberos with the cloudera cluster for authentication of users to the cluster and Hadoop services. Setup, installation and configuration of Apache Drill with the Hadoop cluster, Kerberos and Tableau BI analytic tool in-order to create interactive analytics reporting. Worked with various data file formats like AVRO, JSON and PARQUET while reading and ingesting data files back and forth from the Hadoop cluster to the Enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW).

Lead developer for E-VERIFY and CSR project. A member of a team of developers that monitor the MEDICARE sumscnts application. Created various scripts using SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX korn shell scripts for the CSR, E-VERIFY and Medicare projects.

Worked on the development and maintenance of database scripts and other publications, documents.
