Mechanical Engineer – XTO Husky CDP
Worked as a full-time mechanical engineer on a large midstream oil and gas processing facility that included oil and condensate stabilization as well as capacity for up to 6 amine and cryogenic gas treating trains
Generated detailed datasheets for mechanical equipment on the project that included centrifugal and air-driven pumps, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, pressure vessels, flare stacks, and heat exchangers using the latest API, ASME and other industry standards
Executed equipment criticality analysis using categories such as production loss, sparing capability, and equipment capacities to determine which equipment would impact the facility’s production and safety the most if there were to be a failure
Evaluated bid sheets to select the optimal vendors for mechanical equipment
Worked with all engineering groups and the client to develop and refine the piping and instrumentation diagrams for the facility to detail the shown mechanical equipment and correctly specify valves and specialty items
Generated the Mechanical Equipment List that included details such as pressure and temperature ratings, footprints, weights, electrical horsepower and capacities for all 400+ individual pieces of mechanical equipment on the project
Reviewed vendor submitted documents and drawings including general arrangements, pump performance curves, inspection and test plans, and equipment cut sheets
Interfaced with vendors as the main technical point-of contact for metering skids, pumps, vessels, and anti-foam injection skids to ensure their equipment was up to client standards as well as to maintain schedule
Performed piping isometric checking for over 5000 drawings
Mechanical Engineer – XTO Cowboy CDP
Worked a supporting role on a similar large XTO midstream oil and gas processing facility
Reviewed vendor submitted drawings and was the main point-of-contact for metering skids
Analyzed vendor submitted job books for pumps and compressor packages to identify missing information for the client
