Affiliated under VTU (Belgaum), graduated with CGPA of 7.54 in June 2017 This degree provided an insight into processes in biochemical engineering, heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical plant utilities and safety, instrumentation and process control. I acquired a knowledge about the different types of microbes and their roles, with the transfer of energy in heating the equipment with stream and minimising the energy loss using insulation, downstream processes of distillation column in obtaining purer alcohol, the raw materials required for beer industry and the safe operation of the equipment and low risk of malfunctioning using the latest controllers and control devices.

Project during the graduate study

Minor Project:

Title: - “Production of Bacterial Cellulose from sugar industry waste” In this project I was instrumental in Extracting Cellulose form the sugar factory waste such as bagasse and molasses, where we made different tests to breakdown the complex structure of bagesse to extract celulose which can be further used to make bio fuel such as ethanol to reduce the Green house gas.

Major project:

Title: - “Preparation and Characterisation of Economical Solid Fuel Briquette” This was a project to make fuel out of daily waste from industries such as wooden plywoods, cotton factory, cowdung from dairies, all these products were binded together using a binder. which can be used in furnaces to heat up because this fuel gives high heat and low consumption, which makes it economical in this costly world.

Attended workshop on

“Industrial perspective on chemical process design, control and optimisation” organised by institute of process and control engineers (IPCE) in 2016, at SDM College of Engineering and technology, Dharwad.

Industrial Visits:

Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF), sept, 2015. Where I was given a guided tour of the plant where urea was manufactured along with various other potassium based fertilizers, also saw the storage of ammonia at freezing temperature.

Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemical Limited (MRPL), sept, 2015. Where I saw the refining of petroleum products like petrol, diesel, white petrol and many other products using crude oil which was imported and exported back to Malaysia using ships. The crude oil was imported in ships and was pumped to the refinery using a 46 KM long pipeline.

Work Experience:

Worked as Chemical Engineer and Assistant Brewer at Blackeye Beer Works. Pvt. Ltd, from July 2017 - July 2018. This company is a consultant for brewing works at breweries, by whom I was assigned to work in two breweries such as The Whitefield Arms, Whitefield road, Bangalore. and Byg Brewski Brewing Co, Sarjapur road, Bangalore.Where my role was assisting the head brewer in the process of brewing and monitoring the same which included the process like Milling, Mashing, Sparging, Boiling and fermentation, this also included the thorough cleaning of brewery to maintain it neat and clean. Presented a seminar on “Oily Wastewater Treatment Using Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Hydrophobic membranes” in March 2017 at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad.
