Duties & Responsibility:

Ensures that project design incorporates and implements current Corporate and Company Standards, HSE Guidelines & Safety Regulations and fully compliant with local and International standards.

Ensures all safety activities, duties and responsibilities are incorporated in project HSE planning and that no conflicts arise which could prevent implantation of their Safety and / or HSE programs.

Ensures project's Environmental Management Systems & performance are in compliance with HSE Impact Assessment Codes.

Monitors the projects Safety/HSE target schedules to ensure that they are being achieved effectively and efficiently in accordance with Corporate, Company & Project requirements.

Ensures the project specific HSE Plan developed and delivered in accordance with Codes, Guidelines, and International Standards and project design specifications.

Plans, directs, and controls the development of the divisional specific HSE programs, procedures and training plans in line with corporate guidelines to enhance leadership at site and ensure availability of skilled and competent staff during emergencies.

Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a team. Works in line with HSE Policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

In particular, Safe System of Work procedure, Task Risk Assessment, HSE Reporting and actions tracking, HSE audit and inspection procedures, etc.

Ensure effective communication of HSE documentation across the organization

Investigate all site HSE related incidents, including near misses, to an appropriate level. Analyze immediate and root causes, determine future action to reduce these occurrences

Ensure continuous HSE improvement within the facility through trend analysis, data, and risk reduction initiatives

Ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization

Monitor and report on the implementation of the approved HSE objectives; produce HSE performance reports as required
