Customer Churn Prediction in Fintech Industry

• Designed algorithms for a fintech company to predict which users are likely to churn based on labeled data by using a dataset with 26000 columns and 31 features

• Explored and preprocessed data by EDA (exploratory data analysis), one-hot encoding, feature scaling and balancing and got a prepared training data with 26996 columns and 41 features

• Trained supervised machine learning models including logistic regression, Random Forest and K-nearest Neighbors, SVM and applied regularization with optimal parameters to overcome overfitting

• Increased the training accuracy of Random Forest from 0.689 to 0.716 with the optimal numbers of trees

• Evaluated model performance of classification via k-fold cross-validation technique and analyzed feature importance to identify top factors that influenced the results Forecasting the future demand of pharmaceutical store
