Specifically, for the past 6 years I was an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), one of the top research-focused private universities in India. As a director of VIT’s networking research lab and research chair in wireless communication and networking, I have supervised till date 5 PhD and 2 MSc students. The research in my lab focused on topics such as security and privacy in cloud computing environments and the Internet of Things, chaos-based image encryption and applications of deep learning algorithms in cryptography. I develop and instruct courses with ease, taking a tailored approach to concept delivery, adjusting methods to suit students, while focusing on increasing student engagement through interactive activity. Research paper publication, “A survey on security issues in service delivery models in cloud computing” in the Journal of Network and Computer Applications – published by Elsevier - achieved highest amount of citations, 2801, and downloads since 2011.

Awarded consistent, back-to-back honours for research dedication and publications in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Contributed to course evaluation as member of Academic Council at the graduate and undergraduate level, determining course content and offering feedback to ensure curriculum meets industry and institutional standards.

Oversaw and guided 5 PhD student and 2 MS by Research students in research goals and dissertations. 4 have completed work, and 3 are continuing to receive guidance.
