PATENT
Phase Recognizer Instrument, Patent Reg. No. 25758, Nov. 10, 1997
Phase Recognizer Instrument or PRI is a device to recognize unknown feeding phase of a single phase consumer without any service interruption.
Electric networks have many single phase customers. Uneven supplying of these customers is main source of unbalanced networks. PRI effectively helps preventing and/or correcting unbalanced grids by identifying feeding phase of customers, which in turn causes reducing energy loss, overloading and lowers investment on electric networks.
EDUCATION
B.S. Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Technical Consultant 09/2016 – Current
Alborz Niroo Co.
Consulted site selection, feasibility study, engineering design and system configuration projects for two 1 MW solar power plants projects.
Consulted a software development project to create a software suite for simplifying solar panels calculations, configuration and arrangement.
Senior Group Manager 05/2013 – 01/2016
SODEXO
I started my work as a senior software engineer with a primary goal of doing feasibility study for a flexible web motivation software application. After successful development of pilot project, Sodexo decided to establish IT group and promoted me to Senior Group Manager.
Designed and implemented software quality assurance methodology for software development life cycle (SDLC) of Sodexo US, consisting of a unified way of analysis, creating UML diagrams, coding standards, documenting and testing.
Performed agile project management for designing and developing Web Motivation Platform software which started from user stories to use cases, robustness diagrams, sequence diagrams to class diagrams and implementation. This software application has been developed to be used every day by more than 120,000 Sodexo North America employees.
Managed design and implementing scalable database for the Web Motivation Platform software.
Managed design and development of backend recognition program and user interfaces.
Performed feasibility study and managed design and development of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system for Motivation Platform application
Full Stack Developer & Database Designer 04/2011 – 05/2013
SGT Inc. (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center)
Analyzed and designed backend and frontend and database applications to integrate sporadic ESTO (Earth Science Technology Office) projects data.
Extracted, reviewed, transformed and loaded data into newly created Earth Science Technology database
Designed and developed Backend and frontend applications for project reviewers selection task using PHP, MySQL, HTML, JQuery
Extracted, transferred, and loaded data into newly generated reviewers database
Senior Software Development Manager 09/1992 - 08/2009
GNCE (Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineers)
Scaled engineering team from 2 to 24 employees in 2 years to handle a national scale project using iterative and incremental software development model to develop software applications which integrate databases, GIS and power distribution optimization and calculations to address electrical utilities needs in a unified environment. After installing new software suite in more than 100 electric distribution utilities, it kept data of distribution grids feeding more than 10 million customers.
Leading scientific research teams to find new algorithms for optimal planning of size and location of distribution substations, optimal path finding for electrical cable routing, optimal designing of street lighting, optimal placement of capacitors, medium and long term electric load forecasting, load flow calculation for MV (Medium Voltage) & LV (Low Voltage) grids, optimal surge arrester placement, electrical load analysis and modeling for distribution networks.
Managed project of Shiraz city electrical grid data gathering, error checking and uploading into GIS (Geographical information system) with 690,000 consumers. Project was consisting of performing all required calculations to produce Shiraz Electric Master Plan, and also leading local engineers to perform these calculations independently.
Accomplished projects for electric distribution utility companies in four cities with more than 330,000 customers consisting of grid data gathering, performing everyday engineering calculations and training local engineers to perform these jobs independently.
Designed and implemented a system of software applications and hardware devices for electrical data gathering & planning
Accomplished project of developing software application programs to ensure integrity of geographic and descriptive grid data and make sure data is ready for feeding engineering calculations.
