Use Image Processing to find out the leaking methane from the gray-scale thermal infrared images by Python 2019.10-2019.11
• Gamma correction, Canny edge detection and image morphology were performed for detecting the leaking methane part of the images.
• SIFT (Scale-invariant feature transform) and Background subtraction was applied to video frames for alignment and methane detection.
Water Resource Management in Tampa Bay Water 2019.4-2019.5
• Evaluation of overall water use within the state of Florida and per capita demand in the Tampa Bay Area.
• Evaluation of population projections and water supply demands for the years 2040 and 2060.

• Water sample collection. Collected water bodies at 25 different sampling points around Feicui Lake.
• Sample analysis, using a six-position parameter, dissolved oxygen meter, rapid elimination spectrophotometry, Nessler’s reagent spectrophotometry, ammonium molybdate spectrophotometry to measure PH, dissolved oxygen, COD, ammonia nitrogen content in water.
Research on Axial Compression Performance of Concrete Cylinder Based on BFRP (Basalt Fiber Reinforced Plastics for short) Constraint 2015.12-2016.2
• The BFRP constraint can effectively improve the ultimate bearing capacity and ductility of concrete columns.
• The ultimate bearing capacity of concrete is positively related to the area of concrete confined by fiber cloth. The larger the constrained area, the greater the ultimate bearing capacity. Internship Experience

• Tested the chemical oxygen demand and biochemical oxygen demand of inlet and outlet water, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, suspended solid, PH, total hardness, mixed liquor suspended solid and fecal coliform.
