Lots of experience rewriting and designing old code to bring up to modern standards using RPGLE free-format code, embedded SQL, binding directories, modules and service programs at The Warranty Group, Nippon Express USA, Ceannate Corporation and North American Corp.
Converted BPCS system for Suncast Corporation to the year 2000 by subtracting 28 years from the database and changing all programs to display the correct year at the reporting and screen level. Saved the client upwards close to a million dollars by not having to convert to version 6 of BPCS by also making changes to BPCS to handle Suncast unique functions.
Maintained Inventory management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and order entry systems within BPCS for Suncast Corporation.
Helped create RPG III and RPGLE code generator RAPID GEN to create RPG programs from simple data modeling menu driven questions for IT consulting firm Rapis Corporation.
Created FTP (File Transfer Protocol) batch application to move encrypted files between The Warranty Group’s AS400’s-ISERIES.
Created AS400-ISERIES user entry control system to keep track of user’s access to AS400-ISERIES for The Warranty Group.
Created RPGLE, CLLE and DDS source maintenance application for GMI Software, Inc. to track and control the assignment and maintenance of all source code.
