Network Engineer with 2+ years of experience on Cisco platforms on L2, L3 layer and Unicast Packet forwarding with key focus on troubleshooting, installing on cisco router operating system.

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, problem solving with critical thinking and analysis.

Knowledge of Python, CCNA and Network Fundamentals, LAN Switching, Routing Technologies, WAN Technologies, Network Infrastructure Services, Security Management.

Knowledge of IP, UDP, TCP, HTTP protocols and analysis tools such as Wireshark.

Designing IP addressing scheme using subnet.

Configuring Routers, Switches, Static and Dynamic Routing Protocols like RIP, OSPF, EIGRP.

Implementing VTP, VLANs and Trunk using Dot1q.

Configuring and troubleshooting of VPN.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Research Assistant University of New Haven Connecticut Jan 2019 – Dec 2019 Configuration and Performance Analysis of an LTE Network using OPNET modeler:

Created an LTE network in OPNET Modeler for a campus and evaluated the performance of the network.

First, an LTE network is built then the network which we built is configured. Later, two applications FTP, VoIP are created for the LTE network.

We simulate our network and will check the values of the throughput for uplink and downlink to evaluate the performance of the network.

Software used OPNET.

Cloud Computing:

Implemented a simple cloud application that will access the Particle server using a REST API where we connected Particle Argon module to the Particle cloud server via the Wi-Fi communication protocol.

Software’s used are Visual Studio Code, Particle Console web application.

Equipment used is a Particle Argon IOT development kit. Network Engineer HCL CISCO Technologies Chennai, India JAN 2016 – Dec 2017

Ramp up on Cisco based platforms, lab testing and guideline.

Trained basic networking topics such as TCP/IP, IP configuration, subnetting, building a routing table, and other network protocols, standards, and architecture.

Troubleshoot and debug network issues, isolating them for solutions.

Responsible for Installation and maintenance of LAN/ WAN Network.

Creation of different topologies with Routers, switches and basic configuration to bring up the setup and deployment of cisco products.

Installing, troubleshooting, configuring, manageable switches.

Providing Solution related to Cisco Products Troubleshooting & monitoring for Router in RIP (Routing Information Protocol), OSPF (Open Source Path First), and EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol).

Configuring routing protocols.

Designing, Implementing, Troubleshooting and Managing Virtual Local Area Network.

Basic Configuration of Cisco routers for remote access. EDUCATION:

University of New Haven Jan 2018 – Dec 2019

Master’s Degree – Electrical Engineering GPA – 3.54 Related - Course: Networking, Internet of Things, Applications of IOT, Digital Signal Processing, Embedded systems Design, Microwave Engineering.

ST. Martin’s Engineering College July 2013 – May 2017 Bachelor’s Degree – Electronics and Communication Engineering GPA – 3.67 Course: Computer Networks, Signals and systems, Wireless Communication, Computer programming and Data Structures, Probability theory and Stochastic process, Cellular and Mobile Communications, Control systems, Digital Image Processing.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Protocols: OSPF, TCP, Ipv4, Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN, VLAN, Routers, Switches, routing, switching, VTP, IPV4/ IPV6, VoIP.

Simulation Tools: CISCO Packet Tracer, OPNET.

Software Tools: Particle Workbench IDE, Visual Studio Code, Git. Debugging Tools: Wireshark

Languages: C, Python, Assembly Language, Keil, Embedded C, Verilog, VHDL. PROJECTS:

Virtual Private Network:

Created a multi- router network and configured the routers and hosts using the CISCO IOS to configure a site- to- site IPsec VPN.

The IPsec VPN tunnel has been created between the two routers via another router where IPsec provides secure transmission of IP packets between the IPsec devices.

Technologies used are CISCO Packet Tracer.

Setup and Configuration of VLAN and Switches:

Worked on how to setup and configure VLAN on switches using CISCO Packet Tracer.

Configured routers and switches then the configuration is verified by pinging between two devices.

Technologies Used: CISCO Packet Tracer.

Wi – Fi connectivity:

Connected the temperature sensor to the particle cloud using a Wi- Fi Access point.

The particle Argon module is connected to a Local Area Network.

The Particle Cloud server is registered to access the temperature and control remotely from the Particle console Web application.

Equipment used is Particle Argon IOT development kit. Analysis of Network protocols using Wireshark:

We used Wireshark packet sniffer in this project, allowing us to display the contents of messages being sent/ received from/ by protocols like HTTP, TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP at different levels of the protocol stack.

Packets and Protocols captured are analyzed and displays the packet data in detailed.

Displays the capture file properties, capture time, capture filter information, display filter information and how much data were transferred while this capture was going on. Design and simulation of the DC- DC converter:

Designed control mechanism for both Buck and Boost power converters

Created mathematical modelling of a power converter, design and tuning of (P, PI and PID controllers) for voltage and current control.

Simulated and analyze the output using SISO tool, PSIM, Simulink.
