1.QA Rejection reduction (SG1 MH,XBB and XBA Clutch Housing Customer end 2 % to 0.2 % achieved

Lesson Learnt:Shrinkage- Jetcooling;End fill area cold metal to be avoided (Maintain150 c)provide proper overflow gate to escape entrapped air.

2. Low cost cast iron piston life increased from 1600 to 30000 shots per tip

Lesson Learnt:Piston design as per NADCA and Clearances standard.

3. Die releasing agent consumption reduction from 5.5 litre/ton to 3.2 litre /ton

Lesson Learnt: Thermal balancing on improving die cooling and reduce the dycote agent spray hence only lesser amount used to release the casting from die.

4. Manual Lubrication Elimination by optimising the die temperature and spray program standard.

Responsibilities:

Follow up with toolmaker as per timeline to get dies on time. Communicate with toolmakers if there are any problems & troubleshoot the problem.

Visit toolmakers end on regular basis to see the development of the dies & update to customer on weekly basis.

Inspections at toolmaker end after completion of the dies & trim tools.
