Characterizatioan of Novel Ionogels for Multifunctional Smart Windows Aug 2017 - May 2018 Final Year Project, NTU

In this project, a new class of photothermotropic materials was intensively investigated. With the unique structure and interactions in such ionogels, the materials can switch reversibly between transparent and opaque states. Through detailed analysis of photothermotropic behavior, the underlying mechanism was discussed by studying the effect of each material. By adjusting the composition, the tunable optical-switching performance can be controlled over a wide range of temperatures. Aimed to characterize the properties of a diode, and demonstrated its application in creating a rectifying waveform.
