Work Philosophy
A successful person does not draw attention to herself but brings focus to a team’s performance. When one succeeds, the team succeeds. Brief Project Descriptions
Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Africa Adventure Exhibit
Development of 22-acre expansion with a $49 million budget. Thirteen acres completed by 2015 and 9 were reserved for future Adventure exhibits. Separate exhibits housed lions, elephants, hoof stock, giraffes, cheetahs and rhinos. Two watering holes, 200,000 and 275,000 gallons, served the animals and birds. A third 500,000-gallon watering hole also provided a containment barrier between the elephant and the hoof stock exhibits. A water cleaning and treatment system was incorporated into the aesthetics, the water treatment facility placed behind a waterfall structure in the elephant exhibit. Other features of the expansion are
1)An approximately 20,000 square foot pre-manufactured, tilt up building for the elephants, which included internal lift crane and an internal food preparation and storage area, as well as a hose-down yard;
2)2 custom-designed, oversized pre-manufactured barns to house giraffes (with internal crane & cable pulley system) and hoof stock;
3)A 60-foot baboa tree constructed of shotcrete, complete with viewing holes and elephant feeding area; and
4)A shotcrete elephant enrichment feature deigned to stimulate curiosity.
Central High School West Campus, Central Unified School District
New construction project between 1994 and 1995 on approximately 10 acres. The campus housed 3 classroom wings and an administration building. A complete theater with both performance and teaching spaces was built, as was a cafeteria with full institutionally equipped kitchen that also served as a multipurpose space. The campus design accommodated a metal shop, an auto mechanics shop, art classrooms, space for domestic technology teaching, science labs, and a library. A full gym provided weight rooms, wrestling rooms, and 2 lockers rooms. The campus also featured a full outdoor amphitheater.

Clovis Elementary School, Clovis Unified School District
New build project between 1999 and 2000 with a budget of approximately $9 million on an estimated 6 acres. The buildings were wood frame with structural steel and were comprised of an administrative office with full media library, multipurpose cafeteria space with outfitted full prep kitchen, 4 classrooms, and a separate building for kindergarten. Development of the grounds provided a paved parking area and outdoor play courts.
Liberty High School, Madera Ranchos
New construction project between 2000 and 2002 on approximately 20 acres with a budget of an estimated $23 million. Two buildings utilized innovative multi-purpose designs, providing moveable walls and capacity for re-designing space to fit changing needs: the Library Media Center/administration building and the cafeteria/theater building. The campus provided 2 classroom buildings, a science lab building, and full gymnasium. In addition, Liberty High School was given its own 1-million-gallon water storage tank, water treatment drainage ponds, new wells, and a sewage processing plant. Outdoor space consists of parking lots, one that accommodates busses, play courts, and sports fields. Road improvement was also included.
Clovis North and Granite Ridge Intermediate Combined Campuses
Electrical installation provided for a multi-prime and multi-phase construction project. This project combined a junior high school and high school on a shared campus, with some shared buildings. Installation of interior site lighting and controls took place between 2005 and 2007 in several buildings with an estimated budget of approximately $2.5 million. Of special interest was the installation of a collegiate lighting and sound system shared by the Clovis North dual gymnasium and the Granite Ridge gymnasium.
