Hired by BNP Paribas for a contract role, before being rehired by my supervisor to fill his role during a restructure of the group. Forecasting / Budgeting:
• While at BNP, analyzed the four-year Forecast and Budget from the previous year and compared it to the current and the previous year’s actuals to ensure each business was on track to hit the new Budget and Forecast.
• Reviewed and updated budget assumptions to reflect the current business environment.
• Checked Budgets submitted by the teams for errors and unreal expectations.
• Provided recommendations and supporting analysis to Senior Management on appropriate level of risk for each business. Pipeline / Forecasting:
• Worked on the Pipeline of deal flow at BNP to continually update the Forecast, including bi-weekly updates to the Pipeline from each business line. Compiled all business lines into a single Excel database and updated the current Flash figures or Actual Month / Quarter-end financials.
• After data manipulation, consolidated the Revenues, Funded Assets, Unfunded Utilization, and Risk Weighted Assets into an easy-to-read table for each Business Line Leader and Senior Management.
• Compared the updated Forecast (Pipeline added to the most recent Actuals) to the Original Forecast, Budget, most recent Actuals and the previous year Actuals to make sure each business was on track to hit their Budget and Forecast.
• When large variances occurred, discussed the cause with the Business Line and then amended the presentation for deficits or surpluses for Senior Management to understand the positive or negative variance. Strategized for team going forward. Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
• Managed, maintained and utilized the KPI Database for Monthly presentations and ad-hoc requests at BNP.
