Responsible for day to day planning of shipping of hogs. More specifically, my duties included:

Managing individual drivers as to which trucks, trailers and loads that they were assigned to.

Keeping track of driver hours of service and ensuring compliance with DOT rules and regulations.

Planning of truck and trailer maintenance in a timely manner.

Gathering information from all barns including number of hogs to be transported and then applying that information in the planning of driver schedules for the following week.

Planning washes for trucks for next days’ loads; ensuring quality in regards to biosecurity.

Hiring and training wash bay employees as needed.

Tracking of trailers to enable trace back for possible disease (i.e.: PED)
