Summary

As a seasoned educator, trainer, consultant, agent, non-profit executive leader, and lobbyist for a variety of community development projects in Arizona and California, I bring a strong record of engagement and outreach to the table. I am currently Executive Director of the Western Arizona Economic Development District (WAEDD), a Yuma-based non-profit working to improve public infrastructure investment, private and public partnerships, manufacturing planning, remote rural economic development, business incubation, and provide consultations to rural municipal entities. My responsibilities include developing the Annual Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document for Colorado River communities in the Yuma, La Paz, and Mohave counties of Arizona.

As a current Adjunct Faculty member at Arizona Western College in Yuma Arizona, I am a subject matter expert in blended classroom delivery and online e-learning for higher education students. I deliver compelling education content with multiple online learning management systems including Blackboard, Canvas, Google Classroom, and Microsoft Office 365 Teams and Classrooms.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management (BSBM) from the University of Phoenix. I'm a graduate of the Leadership Academy for the cities of Yuma and Oakland (California). I also completed the University of Arizona Basic Economic Developer course and the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) Incubator Management Certificate program. I completed the Thunderbird School of Global Management Executive Certificate for Social Sector Leadership.

I am a Master of Science degree candidate at American Military University in 2020. As a Program Director at Sonoma College in Santa Rosa California, I directed and managed a post-secondary educational program for an Associate of Applied Science degree for Homeland Response and Emergency Management (HREM). I successfully delivered blended classroom and online e-learning degree program content to the Fire Department of New York; U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard personnel under DANTES approved education program.

My professional development training plan is ongoing with over 50 technical courses and certifications completed to date in higher education, curriculum development, instructional design, including multiple technology platforms, cloud computing, and modern infrastructure ecosystems.

My proud military veteran background equipped me well to deliver high impact training to all levels of learning with a commanding “stage presence” and high energy delivery. I am a seasoned presenter to senior executive staff and other stakeholder audiences. I am also an experienced domestic and international business traveler. I recently represented the United States as a Trade Representative to the Government of Chile in October 2019.
