WORK EXPERIENCE
Gr8 People, Inc. (Newtown, PA, USA) June 2015 - Present Full Stack Web Developer
Gr8 People is a globally distributed SAAS recruitment platform, which enables users to manage the hiring processes of organizations from candidate acquisition through hiring and onboarding.
● Designed and implemented software features in an end to end agile team, working with a cross-functional team of developers, product managers, designers and business stakeholders.
● Built a Branding Tool Editor where different pages for the Customer website can be constructed and affiliated it with a portal style editor where different style options used for creating custom portal pages can be set and managed.
● Worked with several third-party vendors to integrate background checks, reference checks and job boards into the gr8 people architecture. Some of the vendors I have worked with:
● Netflix: Implemented data export wrapper to send candidate information to Workday.
● Monster: Synched gr8 People candidates to the Monster Cloud. Using the Monster Search API, designed a dashboard in gr8 People where these candidates can be discovered.
● Montage: Developed a utility to enable recruiters to schedule and perform interviews, leveraging Montage assessments.
● Baylor Scott and White: Built a scheduled task utility where custom import tasks could be configured to integrate millions of candidates, job, employment, education records into the Gr8 people system.
● Worked on a URL shortener service using Amazon DynamoDB.
● Led the discovery of Microservices architecture framework to enable moving from legacy code and enhancing the platform’s capabilities.
● Implemented real-time person to person SMS in collaboration with Twilio. Built SMS admin settings and created a 2-way chat application facilitating communication between recruiters and candidates.
● Enhanced existing workflows. To that effect, built features to automate a few processes in the application. Automatically moving candidates from one workflow status to another sends out an email based on client configuration.
● Created a scalable log analytics solution using Elasticsearch and Kibana.
● GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): With the data protection compliances in Europe,
● Designed a structure that supports multiple versions of the privacy policy for customers and included functionalities that came into effect such as ‘Retention Purge’ and ‘Consent Purge’.
● Created a web application to manage data privacy settings, background tasks that run daily to purge candidates.
● Designed and implemented UI for candidate timelines across the application making it easier to track candidate progress.
● To give recruiters more control in the system, I conceptualized and developed a feature to allow recruiters to group candidates. Recruiters could then manage and perform batch activities on these pooled candidates.
● Designed a keyword extraction algorithm on candidate resumes discovering similar candidates. American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) (Alexandria, VA, USA) May 2014-Aug 2014 Web Developer Intern
● Transformed their desktop-only website into a responsive one. Added links for payment processing. George Mason University (Fairfax, VA, USA) Aug 2014-May 2015 Associate Database Administrator
