Prepare syringe pump tower, all Iv's and pressure transducers for invasive lines. Open catheter kits sterily and scrub in to hand supplies to anesthesiologist. Help with ultrasound and difficult intubation cart.
Set up TEE probe, purge the nitric RT machine. Calibrate ACT machine, set up optiflow humidifier and calibrate glucometers. Set up belmont and level one rapid infusers for cases and emergency situations.
Supporting my team by being in the room until the case is started and patient is successfully intubated and all invasive lines are placed.
Take specimens to laboratory for testing. Pick up medications from pharmacy. Multitasking and adapting to a changing environment.
