SENIOR TEKLA MODELER

Duties & Responsibilities:

TEKLA MODELING

Detailed study of IFC and Architectural drawings for the assigned project and identifying the scope of work.

Responsible for raising all technical queries in case of ambiguity or absence of information in IFC drawings.

Responsible for Tekla modelling various structures from simple platforms to complex structures of higher tonnages individually.

Review the Structural drawings, reports and specifications submitted by the Design Consultant(s) at each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness and compliance with the scope of work and agreement requirements. MODEL CHECKING

Responsible for checking the accuracy, completeness and quality of model and drawings are being implemented without compromising the promised deadlines.

Checking of the steel connections for fabrication and erection feasibility and geometry of the steel members in the 3D-TEKLA model.

Makes certain that all steels included in the scope of work have been modeled as per approved latest shop drawings.

Ensures that all Change Orders, RFI responses, Connection Design Query (CDQ) responses are well incorporated in the model and in the drawings where required. PROJECT COORDINATION

Extensive coordination between various subcontractors (Detailing/Fabrication) through verbal & electronic channels as required.

Resolving all technical queries that are raised by the Detailing Subcontractor in a timely manner.

To follow and push the detailing subcontractors to adhere strict to meet deadlines.

Maintaining effective communications with internal departments to meet project deadlines.

Providing all Engineering related information to project/procurement/site team as and when required.

Maintaining effective communication between other trade contractors

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Duties & Responsibilities:

Identify the actual scope of work from Job card and IFC drawings and compare the same with tender drawings in order to identify variations.

Preparation of the list for GA drawings, shop drawings and the schedule of submission of drawings for approval.

Preparation of all technical submittals including design, drawings and materials, by collecting necessary information from project specification and follow up the approval process with the client/consultant.

Planning the material requirements and raising the requisition to the project Dept. mentioning all the vital technical requirements, grading etc.

Assist in the preparation of GA drawings for assigned project according to the contract specifications.

Prioritize the issuance of structural drawings in coordination with the project team and inform the design & detailing team accordingly.

Providing all related engineering information to project team by forwarding the assembly list of erection drawings of bolts, approved method statement etc. required in the site.

Co-ordination with the production department personnel on behalf of design/detailing team to clear all the queries raised by the workshop staff.

Ensure proper co-ordination with design engineers, checkers and draughtsman for the preparation of drawings and provide them the requested information from client.

Checking fabrication drawings from the sub-contractors prior release to fabrication.

Follow up with the production team regarding the fabrication drawings issued to the workshop.

Closely follow up with engineers, design and detailing team and sub-contractors for the smooth functioning of the projects.
