My name is Mason Myers.

I have hidden behind my camera lens in hopes of going unnoticed for a good portion of my life. Attention on myself, I despise, but bringing attention to and capturing the beautiful and the fleeting, I admire. With my finger on the shudder button and my eyes looking through the tiny window into a single moment in time. My mind wanders back to my childhood. Running through those halls of my grandmothers house to the room filled with her camera equipment. It was in this room that I fell in love with photography and in this room is where my Grandmother taught me everything she knew. As my Grandmother developed an early form of Alzheimer and was unable to continue her love of photography, I fell in love with the idea of safeguarding a person. A feeling. A memory. When I photograph precious moments in people's lives, I understand these photos will be capturing priceless memories. Though the human mind may not remember everything it wants to, a photo will never forget.
