EXPERIENCE

Capital One

McLean, VA Software Engineering Intern June 2019 – December 2019

Prototyped, developed and trained logistic regression models that would classify whether URLs/webpages visited by employees on the Capital One network were benign or malignant. Tested different text vectorization like TF IDF.

Designed and developed a dataset search and clustering API with Python, Django, Scikit learn and a finetuned BERT language model to enable engineering teams at Capital One to access high quality datasets.

Designed and developed a pipeline to better automate and improve the process of uploading to and utilizing an in house data lake with GPT 2 and BERT for metadata description autocompletion, classification.

University of Maryland Department of Computer Science College Park, MD Undergraduate TA (Intro to Data Science) August 2019 – December 2019

Led office hours once a week to help students with questions regarding their data science projects and graded exams/projects.

University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS GAMMA) College Park, MD Research Intern June 2019 – August 2019

Implemented with Python, SimCAI, an algorithm that models multi agent movement and interaction in heterogeneous traffic based on their temporal and spatial states.

Developed a Python script to relabel bounding boxes made by masked R CNN in a traffic dataset. University of Maryland Department of Computer Science College Park, MD Principal Researcher August 2018 – December 2018

Developed a reinforcement learning model and environment, using Python and SerpentAI, to automate the gameplay of Total War, a medieval military war simulator.

Implemented multiple reinforcement learning algorithms, like Q Learning and SARSA, to control the gameplay strategy, this resulted in a model that was able to win most of the games it played. University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering College Park, MD Research Intern May 2018 – August 2018

Developed a linear regression model with stochastic gradient descent using Python and MATLAB to determine the atomization energy of molecules given criteria like their molecular structures and formulae to determine the safety in transporting explosive materials for the US military.
