I specialize in Sales (Business Development, Account Management, Customer Success), and Marketing (Demand Generation, Product, Branding). Over the last decade, I have managed sales and analytics teams and driven profitable revenue growth for the world's biggest corporations, such as Volkswagen Group, Unilever, Google, and Central Bank of Turkey. Starting in 2018, I have shifted my career focus on building startups like Gympass and Carbic. Some of my recent work can be found here.
WORK EXPERIENCE
CARBIC
VP of Sales and Marketing 08.2019 - Present
Carbic (formerly FlowCommand Inc) is a Series A level SaaS startup that is mainly funded by Y Combinator (YC) and Bedrock Capital. It is a full-service technology company that provides both the software and the hardware to energy companies in order to help them optimize production and reduce operational costs. Reporting into the CEO, I have led Carbic's sales and marketing strategy for the US and Canada markets.
By building the database of 10k+ O&G companies, setting up the go-to-market strategy for US and Canada markets, deciding on the sales tool stack, integrating the database with the CRM (Salesforce), sales enablement (Salesloft, Apollo), and execution tools (Dialpad, LinkedIn, Zoominfo), and hiring the top talent into the organization, I was able to generate the following results for the company in 2020 YTD: 27 lead generation campaigns launched with 9,3k people reached, 9% reply rate (843 people) achieved, 104 meetings with enterprise and SMB companies conducted, 14 deals closed with companies such as Oxy, Discovery, Bison OK, 200+ sensors installed generating ~$2M TCV.
On the marketing side, by outlining the main marketing strategy under branding, product, and lead generation, I was able to launch the rebranded website, Carbic’s web app, build our social media presence (e.g. 1, 2, 3), and launch our first-ever content marketing campaign with articles, videos, and infographics.
GYMPASS
Head of US Enterprise Business Development 08.2018 - 08.2019
Reporting into the CCO, I managed the enterprise outbound and inbound demand generation (Sales Reps), Sales Analyst, and Sales Operations teams across the US for Gympass. I have unified the sales development and operations teams into one central office (instead of 5 offices spread throughout the US), and standardized everyone's workflow to achieve optimal productivity.
By centralizing account prioritization and assignment, building salesforce dashboards to effectively track performance, determining the right KPIs and setting up the incentive structures in place, and implementing the right hiring practices in place, within the first 6 months, I was able to grow the average productivity of reps by 58% for the number of sales-ready opportunities, 82% for the dialed cold calls, 124% for the completed calls, and 30% for the completed meetings with new companies. These resulted in 12 additional deals closed with companies like CVS, Pfizer, Caesar’s Entertainment, LG, Pfizer, and HP resulting in $8M+/TCV. An example of my work can be seen here.
What I take the most pride in my time at Gympass was being able to drop the difference in the performance output of the top and low performers in the team from “6 to 1” down to “1.5 to 1”.
Sr. Business Development Manager, North America 07.2016 - 07.2018
I have led Google's ad monetization partnerships for mobile apps across North America through the solutions of AdMob, Doubleclick for Publishers, and ADX. I have led Google’s efforts in determining the best quality inventory on mobile apps space and managing end-to-end partnerships process with developers to ensure revenue growth (27% YoY), and product adoption (Averaged 23 deals annually).
I have collaborated with cross-functional teams (Product Team, Engineering, Account Management, Scalable Marketing) to provide the smoothest monetization experience for our mobile app developers while providing crucial market feedback on our products/offerings. I have built partnerships with Coinmarketcap, Aeria Canada, Scruff, and Tilting Point that generated ~$7MM in annual ad revenue.
Project Manager 07.2015 - 07.2016
I have led a team of 22 analysts in the localization and quality analysis teams for "Google Assistant" (formerly "Google Now") organization in order to improve the speech recognition patterns for the Android users in 22 different countries. What I take the most pride in my time within the localization team was the role I played to complete the official launch of the Google Assistant product in Turkey as of April 30th, 2016.
