My nursing education began as an undergraduate student at New York City College of Technology. It then progressed to the completion of graduate school at Long Island University. While licensed by the State of New York, I practice as a Registered Nurse at Wyckoff Height Medical Center where I’ve gained over 10 years of experience. Here I deliver high-quality care to patients in both the Adult and Pediatric Emergency departments as well as inpatient care units.
My career began as a staff nurse at the bedside on a Medical-Surgical care unit. This inpatient care unit
catered to the pre-op and post patients as well as the step down and bariatric population. Throughout this
time I would precept new nurses and was the charge nurse to the nursing staff. This entailed organizing staff,
assessing nurse to patient workload, delegating and determining the need for diversion of care while being
a hands on resource for all patient care needs. I was also required to do rotations on the telemetry and
ventilator care units. Most recently, I have been trained in the ICU and CCU before working in both the
adult and pediatric emergency departments. In my Registered Nurse role, I honed my abilities in clinical
care and physical assessment, providing a firm foundation for the Family Nurse Practitioner position.
Currently I am focused on continuously advancing my expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner while driving innovation. I am a personable and seasoned healthcare professional with the ability to apply management concepts and advocate for patient and healthcare organization needs.
