Functional Responsibilities:

Formulating strategies, programs and systems in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) in the project workplaces to reduce if not totally eliminate EHS incidents and the continuous improvement including strict implementation of safety tactics/programs in facilities management and facility engineering including construction, and regularly monitors implementation and update/revise same if necessary.

Supervises and provides directions, instruction, advice and guidance to site safety officers including

Sub-contractor’s safety officers in the execution of the safety management system of the company.

such as trainings (and refresher courses), preparation of job hazard analysis, permits, use personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for different type of works, conduct tool-box meetings, correct and standard tools and supplies, etc.

Develops a program schedule for continuous training /certification of people to ensure a safety

workforce and quality workmanship. Ensures that only workers who are properly trained in safety will do the job and that training matrices and training attendance of all workers and staff which should be updated once a month.

Ensure the performance of the safe behavior observations (SBO) by supervisors, co- safety officer,

project engineers on the project site.

Provide full support to the team leader’s directives and guidance.
