Abstract:Thisprojectdescribestheimportanceofhandwaterpumpusingpendulumrather thanusingsimplehandpump.Oneimportantfeatureofthispumpwithapendulumisthatthe workisalleviatedwhichmakesworkrathereasiercomparedtoahandwaterpump.Itisused duetoefficientmodeinirrigationofsmallerlots,water-wellsandalsousedtoextinguishing firesevenbyoldpeopleandchildren.Withthehelpofpendulumbasedwaterpumpingsystem that can increase the efficiency of the plant and reduce effort,cost of production,productiontime,manpowerrequirements.

Abstract:Thisisfocusedonthedevelopmentoffunctionallygradedmaterial in the form ofcylindricaltubeinLM25aluminium alloy with Nickel reinforcement.Thenickelisaddedinvaryingpercentagesuchas0,3,6and 9%at.ThetechniqueusedforthisproductionisHorizontalCentrifugalcasting. Theaddednickelintheformofmasteralloyisreactedwiththealuminiumand formsaluminium intermetallicAl3NI.Thereinforcementsettlementswere studiedusingOpticalMicroscopicimageswhichresultsthatthehigher densityintermetallicreinforcementwereavailableintheouterregionofthe cylinder.Ontheotherhandtheinnerregioncomprisessiliconphaseswith lesserintermetallicAL3NI.Themiddleregionhasacombinationofboth siliconandAL3NItoimprovetheproperties.TheBrinellhardnessreportsthat theadditionofnickeltoLM25specimenimprovesthehardness.Especially, the outersurfaceshowing44.16% improvementinhardnessat9wt% specimen.Thevariationofhardnessinthecrosssectionisduetothe differenceinthedensitiessuchasAL,SIand
