Dear Hiring Manager,
It is with great interest that I apply for the Quality Control Lab Technician – Summer Internship Position at Mill Street Brewery. With my extensive laboratory experience performing quality assurance testing and certifying petroleum products at Intertek Hamilton, and current education in the Medical Laboratory Science program at St. Lawrence College, I will effectively perform routine analytical tests on beer through all stages of the brewing process in a safe manner.
As a Laboratory Technician at Intertek Hamilton, I have effectively grasped a qualitative ability to conduct product inspection, such as Microbial Growth Analysis, in accordance to ASTM, and interpret data to support many petroleum refineries such as Imperial Oil, Shell, and Air Canada, in efficient time. Through data entry using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), I was able to minimize turnaround time through quick and efficient generation of Reports of Analysis to our clients, while satisfying any inquiries through detailed explanations. Working among a team of 8 laboratory technicians has taught me to employ communicative skills leading to productive completion of tasks in a safe manner in accordance to WHMIS. As a safety committee member, I suggest ways we as a workplace can function safely. After completing a routine inspection of the workplace, I came up with solutions to protect laboratory technicians working in less ventilated areas that are implemented today. I strongly believe my experience at Intertek Hamilton will allow me to continue providing excellence in laboratory testing.
Knowing the goals this position hopes to achieve, I have the capability to carry out these goals to satisfy all properties of this field. Please contact me at 289-***-**** or ************@****.** at your earliest convenience, so we may further discuss how my experience and skillset can compliment your team. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
Norman Ha
