Project Description:

1. WAITROSE – BI is an agile project which aims at validating if new or any changes to existing Ab Initio ETL are interacting with the existing target tables and other new systems making sure that the data transformed between the source(s) and target is accurate. The flow of an ETL job(s) right from extracting from source, transforming and loading to target is behaving as expected will be tested and this is to identify any dependencies and to ensure that the data integrity is maintained between various Ab Initio components. All the newly built ETL jobs are tested individually in a test environment to make sure the data flow between the various stages of ETL i.e. raw data, data xform & fact/dimension is as expected.

2. Merchandising Operations aims to bring the entire supply chain manageable within two application systems (ORMS and JDA) and has planned to decommission multiple heritage systems which are currently in use for efficient planning, demand forecast, inventory management and scheduling orders. As part of data migration, the objective is to migrate data from various heritage systems to ORMS and JDA. There are multiple formats of source(DB2/XML/EXCEL/CSV) involved in this project which are transformed as per norms, needs and standards of the target system and loaded into ORMS and JDA software application systems using abinitio and RMS scripts Responsibilities:

Understanding Business Requirement Specifications

Preparing the test cases as per the specifications given in the ticket which is maintained in JIRA Agile Board

Executing test cases which involves functional, negative and regression testing

Reporting product bugs, bug isolation, verifying fixed bugs and issue resolution

Providing feedback to design reviews and test tool selections/improvements

Execute the test cases and raise defects in JIRA and track the same Merchandising Operations:
