DELPHI TVS Technologies (Oragadam, Chennai-Plant 3) Designation: Engineer in Production Engineering Department (Oct 2017 – Till date) Responsibilities

o Process Qualification such as Washing, Assembly & Testing: CLASS 4 Washing, Tightening benches, Helium testing, ATEQ Leak Test, Servo Press & Performance test rigs. o Equipment Qualification which includes DAP, MQ1, MQ2, PPAP run for the new process and evaluating Run at rate.

o Proto Sample Preparation in PDP standards (A, B, C & PPAP) o Preparation of Capital Approval & Capital Expenditures which includes Techno-Commercial Comparisons for the New Process.

o Documentation (As per IATF 16949) - IN process stage Drawings, Process Flow Diagram, Process FMEA, Process Control Plan, Operation standards & Manufacturing layout preparation.

o Addressing Customer Complaints and sorting out with appropriate corrective actions. o CG, R&R proving and Machine Capability proving in Assembly stations. o Localized child parts qualification that includes raw material change, source changes activities.

o Gauges & Tools planning for the Assembly, Testing process and Finish off process. o Creating Manufacturing BOM for all new applications. o Traceability study and Implementation for the New Process. Achievements

New Product Development

o Fuel Injection Diesel Pumps which obeys BS4 and BS6 Norms Customers: Tata Motors Limited, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra ii

New Process Development

o High Pressure Flushing station: Introduction of Flushing station to improve the Heat treatment efficiency and also validated with 3 SPQR to stringent the time gap between heat treatment and machining cell. This process is completely undertaken through retro fitting machine.

o Air Leak test bench: Introduction of Leak test bench to control the stringent machining geometry also trace a leak over the Cone seat area, it leads to FTQ reduction about 2.5% to 0.3%.

o CLASS 7 Washing Machine: Introduction of product Washing machine to improve the quality of product also to withstand the sea conditions. o Tightening Stations: Introduction of Common Tightening bench with multiple tool configurations with minimum change overs.

o Bearing Press Stations: Introduction and Qualification of 5ton pressing stations also enhanced with Shim selections to accommodate Axial Play of the High Pressure Pumps. o Lip seal Press Stations: Modification of 1ton pressing station to a New Product application by changing simple fixturing concept.

o Traceability: Introduction of Traceability with MYSQL and NI Lab-view Modules. o Firewall Stations: Introduction of Firewall benches to ensure the Product Quality and Product Fitments.

Line Improvements

o Introduction of Low Cost axial play concepts for shaft end float checking. o Traceability for the Pump using Data logging methodology. o Low Cost Tightening bench for multiple tightening sequences. o Cycle Time reduction in tightening benches.
