As a First-Class Pretty Officer in the Navy, I finished my career as the Leading Petty Officer of the Family Practice Department. I was also the leading Petty Officer of 3 other departments of the hospital during my tours at the hospital.

Evaluated and treated patients for most of my 11 years in the Navy. From 2007-2011 I treated patients in an acute setting for sick call, with the exception of the year I was deployed to Afghanistan. In Afghanistan I treated mostly combat trauma on a daily basis and when there were no patients, I treated sick call for the local population. From 2011-2014 I was in charge of 300 sailors on board a ship where I treated them at sick call, maintained their medical records and performed any ongoing care needed, including immunizations, annual exams, prescription refills or referrals to specialists. From 2014-2017 I was in charge of screenings and evaluations for all members in the Northeast Region who were deploying overseas and then moved into a supervisory role over the Family Practice Department of the hospital.

Awarded two voluntary service medals, three good conduct medals, Combat Action Ribbon, Army Commendation medal, five Navy Achievement medals, Overseas Service Ribbon, Sea Service Ribbon, NATO medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and multiple other awards.
