- Sr. Hyper-V Consultant for HCL’s fortune 500 client Dean Foods

Architect & Sr. Engineer for Hyper-V 2008R2 to 2012R2 Upgrade Project

- Worked directly with Microsoft to create a minimal downtime upgrade plan requiring only 2 hours per Hyper-V cluster.

- Starting with 8 node clusters, All VM's were moved to first 4 nodes, the last 4 nodes were then removed from the cluster and rebuilt with 2012R2 as a new cluster while still having all shared storage present in offline state. From there, Copy Cluster Roles was ran to replicate settings from old cluster then old cluster was shut down. In the new cluster all storage was then onlined in Cluster manager and VM's were started.

- During this process we also corrected many issues with VM configurations and non-optimal virtual network settings to ensure all VM's were in a MS best practices state after the upgrade.

- This process was done for 9 clusters in 3 data centers

Sr. Engineer for SCVMM 2012R2 Deployment

- Worked directly with Microsoft to design and deploy System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012R2 to MS best practices.

- Heavy utilization of Fabric Level Virtual Networking definition for sites to ensure consistency.

- Configured to manage 4 Primary Datacenters and 48 remote sites.

Architect & Sr. Engineer for new Datacenter creation on Hyper-V 2012R2

- Collaborative Design between myself and Microsoft PFE

- HP Chassis were used as 3, 7 node clusters where cluster nodes were spread evenly across the 3 chassis for optimal redundancy. Two additional chassis were built using existing equipment for Dev and Test environments based on the same design.

- Blade profiles were created to utilize 6 NIC's, 2 for the Host, 2 for Cluster and Live Migration and 2 for VM Traffic.

- Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) was then used for the deployment of Windows Server Core 2012R2 Datacenter Edition to each of the blades at which time automated installation of updates, apps and roles were applied.

- SCVMM 2012R2 Used for final configurations of physical and virtual networking as well as cluster creations.

Sr Engineer for Datacenters Consolidation of Hyper-V Environments

- Consolidation of 3 Datacenters into 1 for a Primary DC.

- Using the newly deployed DC on Hyper-V 2012R2, Existing DC's recently upgraded to 2012R2 and SCVMM 2012R2 the "Shared Nothing Live Migration" process was used to move VM's Live to the new DC.

- Live Migration VLAN's were connected as dedicated pipes between DC's to ensure it would not bottleneck existing traffic.
