Job Summary
The Assistant Information Technology Manager reports to the director of information technology.
Manage Information Technology operations & computer systems. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware & software. Monitor & maintain technology to ensure maximum access. Provides recommendations about future planning and development of resources, in an effective and efficient manner will ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.
Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in successful completion of project work including analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing of client network operations.
Build and install Virtual Desktop Infrastructure using VMware Environment such as vSphere, ESXI.
Checking daily backups, all system interfaces, Server hardware and logs.
Monitor, manage, and resolve daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Supervision of IT supervisors and clerks.
Assign IT Staff daily jobs and check lists, train them on all needed theoretical and practical procedures, trouble shooting and support with in corporate standards. 2
Claim suppliers for any Software/ Hardware conflicts.
Follow up all claims that are being forwarded to IT Department, apply the theory of trouble tickets.
Documenting, archiving all correspondence and troubleshooting, follow up suppliers’ visits and maintenance.
Develop and adapt any ideas that bring IT services to higher level.
Perform quality assurance activities to ensure standardization of best practices.
Recovers any gaps that might face IT Department.
Assist existing/new properties when it is required, with approval of IT Manager.
