Dear Human Resource Manager,

In August 2015, I was convicted of a party to a crime. I served 5 years Paper Probation. I know that what I did was wrong. It was a result of poor decision making, and I take full responsibility for my actions. I’ve learned a great lesson, and I won’t repeat those past mistakes. Through those lessons, I made a promise to myself that moving forward I am going to live a life filled with honesty, commitment, integrity, accountability, positivity, and lastly, treating others how you want to be treated.

During this time, I worked as a Registered Care Aide and I completed certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, and RCA Training. Since then, I have worked part-time at Community Care in Waukesha, WI as a RCA, and volunteered my time twice a week at True Life Church.

I look forward to getting back to work full-time, so I can further demonstrate the changes in my life and be a responsible member of society and provide for my family. I can understand why you may be hesitant to hire someone with my background, and ask only for the chance to prove my dependability and skills.
