I am a native Spanish language speaker with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature and Latin American Studies and have worked professionally in the translation field for the past two years. In my position as assistant to an immigration/multi-services provider for the Washington Heights Community, I translated legal/non-legal documents from both Spanish to English and vice-versa. I also provided verbal language interpretation for our customers per request. I would like to add that even though we charged customers a fee for our services, our main goal was always serving the community. We often provided our services to clients that couldn’t afford it free of charge. It is important for me to express that being able to help Latino Community, especially those that don’t speak the language brings me great joy and satisfaction. Translating and interpreting became a great passion for me. Both our clients and boss always raved about my proficiency in accurate and efficient translation and interpretation. It would be a great honor to bring and further-develop my skills at your office.
