Involved in all aspects of Research and Development of innovative optical products. This involved concept, feasibility, prototype production, and continuing improvement of development process.
Developed etch processes and procedures for wire grid products manufacturing. Both metal and oxide etch processes were developed and employed in manufacturing CD’s of ~70nm.
Responsible for all etch procedures in the manufacturing process, targeting the final specific product performance. Optical performance targets are developed and controlled in the etch stage.
Worked on maintenance, repair, and upgrade of etch tools (hands on).
Designed and maintained optical measurement tools. Setup connectivity between computer and sensors.
Interact with tool vendors for facility expansion. This included etch, PVD, and SEM tools.

Process Engineer Asphalt Production Manager MIS
Manage production of asphalt products, including scheduling, blending, and lab work. This involved interaction with state government agencies and other regional labs.
Experience and working knowledge of distillation units, hydrocrackers, reformer units, heat exchangers, and dewaxing units.
Lab work testing and certifying gasoline, diesels, and asphalt products.
Heat train monitoring and analyzing of all heat exchangers in plant.
Trouble-shoot and design work for various refinery processes, including catalytic de-waxing and corrosion control. P&ID diagrams of entire refinery were made under my direction, supporting failure analysis studies.
Mentor third year undergrad students in diagramming the entire plant valve and piping layout, which involved organizing drawings and preparing for final ACAD format. ACAD work done offsite.
Led efforts to redesign relief valve system throughout the entire plant. Included HYSYS simulation studies.
Programming of front rack delivery system, including PLCs.
Oversaw water system monitoring in plant, including cooling water, waste water, and steam water conditioning.
Vacuum tower experience, steam jet design.
Monitor unit operations, especially product stream parameters and yields. Initial work on PFD’s in plant before more detailed analysis. Especially responsible for heat exchanger system.
