Responsibilities
I will ensure that all aspects of lines, slings, hooks are properly handled and other lifting devices for cables, booms and hoist, attaching nets operations and anchor handling as directed by the mate, loading equipment and supplies aboard vessel by hand, forklift or using hoisting equipment and signaling the team to move to safe places including vessel overall maintenance like chipping, painting, vanishing, greasing machinery and tools, cleaning exterior and work areas so as to maximize safe conditions and adhering to the standard needed aboard vessels. Assisting Bosun in checking and Inspecting of wire, lines, slings and other lifting vessel safety equipment and reporting any unsafe activity situations and potential hazard to the Bosun or Mate, wiping the engine room if directed.
Performing emergency drills as designated by the station bill and following all safety policies and procedures and ensuring an incident, injury free work environment aboard. Additional Duties Included:
