PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

As a very young RN, my first endeavor was Oncology nursing. I learned that priority tasking was important but not without the delicate balance of compassion. I learned early on the importance of reflective role-modeling both receiving it and giving it. I was honored to have been a Hospice Nurse which was undeniably my toughest journey in my career; it was then I learned the symbiotic relationship of having hope and letting go . I enjoyed my work traveling with Regional Health Dept as a Adult Health Clinic nurse; focusing on education in Hypertension, stroke and diabetes in rural Georgia circa 1987-90. Home Health Nursing taught me autonomy, time management, excellent wound management skills. I have an extensive Cardiac Nursing background to include Cardiac Progress Care, post cardiac procedures unit and Cardiac Vascular ICU/ OPEN HEART. Most recent career exploration was in a Charge Nurse role in a busy rural hospital in Northern California: Responsibilities include conducting the safe and efficient flow of patients from triage to admission, oversaw transfer of critical patients and discharges.
